Coconut Furniture Ltd. Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: September 19, 2026

Welcome to coconutfurniture.com (the "Site"), which is operated by Coconut Furniture Ltd. These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Site and any purchase made through it. They apply together with the policies identified below.

By accessing the Site, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or place an order.

1. Information About Coconut

In these Terms, "Coconut," "we," "us," and "our" mean Coconut Furniture Ltd., a company based in British Columbia, Canada. "Customer," "you," and "your" mean the person accessing the Site or purchasing products from us.

2. Eligibility and Authority

You must be at least the age of majority in your province, state, or country of residence to place an order. If you use the Site or place an order on behalf of a business or another person, you represent that you have authority to bind them to these Terms.

3. Permitted Use of the Site

You may use the Site only for lawful personal or business shopping purposes. You must not:

  • use the Site for fraud, unlawful activity, or infringement of another person's rights;
  • interfere with the Site's security, operation, or networks, or introduce malicious code;
  • scrape, crawl, copy, harvest, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit the Site or its content without our written permission;
  • impersonate another person, submit false information, or attempt an unauthorized transaction; or
  • use Coconut's content, product imagery, designs, or branding to market competing or counterfeit goods.

We may restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or the Site, our customers, or Coconut may be harmed.

4. Product Information

Images Colours and Finishes

We make reasonable efforts to present our products accurately. Photographs, videos, digital renders, room scenes, swatches, and other visual content are illustrative. Colour and finish may appear different depending on lighting, surroundings, photography, and screen settings.

Wood and wood-based materials may show natural or production-related variation in grain, pattern, tone, texture, or sheen. Reasonable variations between samples, images, individual components, and delivered products are expected and are not, by themselves, defects.

Dimensions and Specifications

Dimensions, weights, seating capacities, and other specifications are approximate and may be subject to reasonable manufacturing tolerances. Styling accessories shown in product images are not included unless expressly stated.

We may update descriptions or specifications for future orders as products are refined. We will not materially change the specifications of a product in an accepted order without notifying you and providing any choice or remedy required by applicable law.

Intended Use

Unless a product page expressly says otherwise, Coconut furniture is designed for normal residential use. You are responsible for following the care, safety, load, placement, and operating instructions supplied with the product. Commercial, rental, hospitality, institutional, or other high-frequency use requires our prior written approval and may not qualify for the same warranty coverage.

5. Prices Currency and Taxes

Prices are shown in the currency identified on the Site or at checkout. Applicable taxes, delivery fees, duties, and other charges that can reasonably be determined will be disclosed before you complete your order. Where a cost cannot reasonably be determined in advance, its nature will be disclosed. Your card issuer or payment provider may apply currency-conversion or other fees that are not charged or controlled by Coconut.

We may change prices and promotions at any time before an order is accepted. Price adjustments are not guaranteed for earlier purchases. Promotions cannot be combined unless their terms expressly allow it.

If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price or with materially incorrect information, we may correct the error and contact you before accepting the order. If payment has already been collected and we cancel for this reason, we will refund the affected amount to the original payment method.

6. Orders and Order Acceptance

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. An automated acknowledgement confirms that we received your order but is not, by itself, acceptance. Your order becomes accepted and binding when payment has been approved and we send an order acceptance or confirmation email, unless that email clearly states that it is only an acknowledgement.

After acceptance, we may cancel an order only for a legitimate reason, including confirmed fraud, payment reversal, an obvious pricing or description error, legal or delivery restrictions, or an unexpected inability to supply the product. If we cancel an accepted order, we will promptly notify you and refund the cancelled amount to the original payment method. Any additional rights you have under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.

You are responsible for reviewing the product, quantity, finish, price, contact details, and delivery information before submitting the order. The checkout process will give you an opportunity to correct errors before you place the order. Please contact us promptly if anything is incorrect. Changes are not guaranteed after acceptance and may be subject to our separate Cancellation and Returns Policy.

7. Availability and Pre Orders

Product availability is not guaranteed until an order is accepted. Products identified as pre-order, made-to-order, incoming inventory, or otherwise not immediately available may be purchased before they are ready for fulfilment.

The applicable estimated supply date or fulfilment window will be displayed or otherwise disclosed before purchase and recorded in the order confirmation. Estimates may change because of circumstances affecting production or fulfilment. We will communicate material delays when reasonably practicable. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory right to cancel because goods are not supplied by the stated date or within an additional period provided by applicable law.

Detailed timing, delay, cancellation, and delivery terms are set out in the Shipping Information and Cancellation and Returns Policy applicable to your purchase.

8. Payment and Financing

You authorize Coconut and its payment service providers to charge the payment method selected at checkout for your order and any clearly disclosed charges. You represent that the billing and payment information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use the payment method.

Payments may be processed by third parties. If instalment financing or another third-party payment option is offered, approval and repayment are governed by the provider's separate agreement. Coconut does not control the provider's credit decision, interest, fees, or account administration.

9. Accounts and Customer Information

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information and to update it when necessary so we can complete transactions and contact you about your order.

10. Store Policies

The following policies, as displayed on the Site when your order is placed, are incorporated into these Terms and form part of your agreement with Coconut:

  • Shipping Information;
  • Cancellation and Returns Policy;
  • Warranty Policy; and
  • Privacy Policy.

The policies applicable to an accepted order are the versions made available when that order is placed. If a product page, promotion, written quotation, or order confirmation contains terms that conflict with a general Site policy, the more specific terms apply to that product or order, but only to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

11. Promotions and Discount Codes

Promotions, gifts, bundles, and discount codes may be subject to eligibility requirements, dates, product exclusions, quantity limits, and other conditions stated with the offer. Unless stated otherwise, they have no cash value, cannot be resold or combined, and may be limited to one per order or customer. We may withdraw or correct a promotion affected by error, fraud, abuse, or unauthorized distribution.

12. Intellectual Property

The Site and its content, including Coconut and CocoSlim names and branding, product designs and presentations, text, photography, renders, graphics, videos, layouts, icons, and software, are owned by or licensed to Coconut and are protected by intellectual property laws. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

You may view and download limited Site content for your own non-commercial shopping use. Any other reproduction, modification, distribution, publication, sale, licensing, framing, or creation of derivative works requires our prior written permission. No licence to use any trademark, trade name, logo, or product name is granted by implication.

13. Reviews and Customer Content

If you voluntarily submit a review, photo, video, testimonial, comment, suggestion, or other content to Coconut, you confirm that you own it or have permission to share it, that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that it does not violate law or another person's rights.

You grant Coconut a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, publish, display, and share that content for operating and promoting Coconut, including on our Site, email, advertising, and social channels. This licence lasts for as long as reasonably required for those uses, subject to applicable law. We may moderate or remove content, but we are not required to publish it. We will not knowingly use your private order communications as a public endorsement without permission. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from posting an honest review.

14. Third Party Services and Links

The Site may rely on or link to services operated by third parties, including e-commerce, payment, financing, analytics, social media, and other technology providers. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy practices. Coconut is not responsible for third-party websites or services that it does not control, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Errors Interruptions and Changes

We may correct typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and update Site content at any time. We do not promise that the Site will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may suspend or change all or part of the Site for maintenance, security, legal, operational, or business reasons. Changes to Site content do not retroactively change an accepted order unless required by law or agreed with you.

16. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and its general content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that Site content is complete, current, or suitable for every purpose. Product-specific warranties, if any, are provided under Coconut's separate Warranty Policy.

These disclaimers do not exclude statutory guarantees, implied conditions, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coconut and its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential losses arising from use of the Site or purchase of products, including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, where those losses were not reasonably foreseeable or are lawfully excludable.

Subject to the paragraph below and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Coconut's total liability arising from a particular order will not exceed the amount paid to Coconut for the product giving rise to the claim.

The exclusions and limits in this section do not apply to fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or bodily injury caused by negligence, damage to property caused by a defective product where liability cannot lawfully be limited, or any statutory liability or consumer remedy that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

18. Indemnity for Misuse

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Coconut harmless from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising directly from your unlawful misuse of the Site, infringement of another person's rights, or material breach of these Terms. This provision does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by Coconut's own breach, negligence, or unlawful conduct.

19. Events Beyond Reasonable Control

Coconut will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, severe weather, fire, flood, epidemic, labour disruption, war, civil disturbance, government action, trade restriction, port or customs disruption, carrier interruption, infrastructure outage, or supplier failure caused by such an event. We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the event and resume performance when practicable. Your non-waivable rights, including any statutory cancellation rights arising from delay, remain unaffected.

20. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Site at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, engage in fraud or abuse, or create a security or legal risk. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, customer-content licences, liability limits, and governing law, will continue to apply. Termination does not cancel obligations relating to an accepted order unless we confirm otherwise in writing or applicable law provides otherwise.

21. Privacy

Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information are described in the Privacy Policy available on the Site. Your information may be processed by service providers involved in operating the store, processing payments, preventing fraud, and fulfilling orders, as described in that policy.

22. Electronic Communications

You agree that order confirmations, receipts, policy notices, and other transaction-related communications may be provided electronically. Marketing communications are subject to separate consent requirements and the choices available to you under applicable law. You are responsible for keeping your email address and contact information current.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Changes apply prospectively from the stated effective date and do not retroactively alter an accepted order unless required by law or agreed with you. Continued use of the Site after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms for future use.

24. General Legal Terms

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of British Columbia will have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms. However, this section does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections, remedies, or rights to bring a claim that apply in the consumer's province, state, or country of residence.

Severability

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent required, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

No Waiver

A delay or failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision or any other right.

Assignment

You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. Coconut may assign these Terms as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of business or assets, or transfer to an affiliate, provided your rights are not materially reduced.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, the incorporated policies, and any specific terms presented with your product or order form the entire agreement between you and Coconut concerning use of the Site and that purchase, replacing earlier discussions or communications on the same subject. Nothing in this clause excludes liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or limits information that applicable law requires to form part of the contract.
